Quatermass and the Pit (1958)

Episode Overview

After the drilling effort, an unexpected hole appears in the wall, granting Quatermass and his team entry into the inner chamber. Inside, they discover the remnants of insectoid aliens that look like enormous three-legged locusts, their short antennae resembling horns. As Quatermass and Roney investigate the remains, they speculate that these extraterrestrial beings may have originated from a nearby planet that was once capable of supporting life five million years prior — Mars.
