Episode Overview

The team from Extreme Makeover Home Edition is set to help a young man whose home has been detrimental to his health. Carrie Powell faced a challenging journey with her younger son, Keenan, who battles a rare cell disorder, asthma, and allergies, all exacerbated by the dust and mold in their Arleta, California house. Initially given a grim prognosis that he might not survive past his first birthday, Carrie, a florist, turned to her herb garden for natural remedies. Against the odds, Keenan is now a healthy 16-year-old, towering at 6 feet and wearing a size 15 shoe. Although he has managed his health, maintaining a hypoallergenic environment has been tough. In an episode airing on SUNDAY, MAY 16 (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET), the Extreme Makeover team arrives to tackle the issue by removing the black mold and creating a healthier home for Keenan.
