In an unprecedented moment for the beloved reality show, design team leader Ty Pennington reached out to the Anderson Family while they were on vacation to inform them that the team had failed to meet the deadline for their home makeover in South Central Los Angeles. Over two consecutive episodes, the crew rallies to support a young man whose dreams of a professional basketball career were abruptly halted. Although there was a one-day setback, the dedicated work of the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition team has managed to revive some hope for his future and that of his family.
