In Lincoln, NE, the Fullerton-Machacek family is set for a dramatic transformation. This close-knit family of seven cherishes their time together, but their living situation poses challenges as they juggle between Kenny's small house and Theresa's even smaller apartment. Kenny and Theresa dream of marriage and uniting their families under one roof, but the poor condition of Kenny's home has hindered its sale. The century-old three-bedroom, one-bathroom house is unsafe, with buckling basement walls, a broken refrigerator, and a leak in the only bathroom that they can't afford to repair.
