Episode Overview
In Redondo Beach, CA, the Ripatti family is in for a significant transformation. Tim and Kristina, both dedicated police officers in the LAPD's gang division, fell in love while working together and now have a baby girl named Jordan. They take pride in their commitment to protecting their community, despite the inherent dangers of their roles. However, that danger became alarmingly real last summer when Kristina and her partner pursued a suspicious individual. After she caught up to him, he shot her, prompting her partner to return fire and call for assistance. Tim, hearing the distress call, rushed to the scene, only to find Kristina fighting for her life. Although she survived, she is now paralyzed from the chest down.
