Episode Overview

While mentoring a group of law students during a mock trial, Harm and Mac uncover a significant injustice tied to a decade-old case. Initially, an investigation led by Admiral Chegwidden determined that an unhappy gun captain was responsible for an explosion that claimed the lives of 29 sailors, including his own. As the law students take on the roles of defense attorney—with Mac's assistance—and prosecutor—with Harm's guidance—they discover a new witness and fresh evidence. This breakthrough leads Mac and Harm to push for a re-examination of the original trial findings.
