Episode Overview
Mac finds herself in a challenging position as she must defend fellow Marine Kenneth Farmer, who is appealing his death sentence for murdering three other Marines. Although she personally believes he deserves the death penalty, she is obligated to argue against it in court. Meanwhile, Brumby, who opposes capital punishment, is tasked with supporting the prosecution’s case. To overturn Farmer's conviction, Mac claims that his previous attorney, then-Commander A.J. Chegwidden, provided inadequate defense. While the appeals court upholds the guilty verdict, they order a new sentencing hearing. With Mic being recalled by the Royal Australian Navy and leaving soon, Harm steps in for Brumby at the hearing. Ultimately, despite Mac's new arguments, Farmer is sentenced to death once more. Admiral Chegwidden hosts a farewell gathering for Mic at a nearby bar.
