Episode Overview
US Special Forces successfully apprehend Mustafa Atef, a high-ranking Al-Qaeda figure believed to have played a key role in training the hijackers responsible for the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. In response, the President calls for the first military tribunal in over half a century. With no JAG lawyers willing to defend the accused, Admiral Chegwidden steps up to take on the challenge, with Commander Turner offering to assist him. Meanwhile, Harm and Mac are tasked with the prosecution. The tribunal takes place aboard the USS Seahawk, leading to the senior JAG staff flying out to the carrier, which leaves Lt. Singer in charge of JAG's Administration Staff. Her leadership quickly frustrates Harriet and the others as she takes over the Admiral's office, conducts a fire drill, and generally creates chaos. On the carrier, the team reunites with Bud, who, as fleet JAG, is assigned to support Harm and Mac in the proceedings.
