S03E02 Charity Begins at Home
Episode Overview
Siegfried encounters Mr. Beresford, the local bank manager, whose dog misbehaves in the car. Meanwhile, Tristan is smitten with the charming Marjorie Simpson, and Siegfried makes the acquaintance of Sarah Raworth. James attends to Mr. Bailey's elderly dog, which has developed a serious case of bronchitis, but Siegfried chastises him for waiving the treatment fee. Ironically, Siegfried struggles to adhere to his own principles. Tristan rescues a badly injured cat and persuades James to treat it instead of euthanizing it. Helen quickly adopts the cat and cares for it, only to be heartbroken when she discovers it belongs to the Gibbons family. The episode concludes with a celebration for Tristan's birthday.
