Episode Overview
Gordon travels to Oscars in Nantwich, where an Irish family-run restaurant appears charming amidst the scenic countryside. However, owner Maura and her son Lenin, the head chef, are far from a happy family. With her life savings at stake, Maura faces mounting issues. She and Lenin constantly clash, while customers endure lengthy waits for their fluorescent crab stick paellas and heavy carbonaras from Oscar's eclectic menu. The restaurant is bleeding £2,000 weekly, but the situation worsens when Lenin collapses during service due to a serious drinking issue and needs immediate hospital care. This becomes Gordon’s most daunting challenge yet. Can he revive the spirit of Oscars, mend the mother-son relationship, and help Lenin confront his struggles?
