Episode Overview
On his 50th birthday, Frank finds himself sharing the spotlight with Liam, who is celebrating his 11th birthday. Surprisingly, Frank turns down the idea of a party and chooses to wallow in his solitary life until he unexpectedly meets Libby, a charming local librarian. This encounter reignites his zest for life, sparking a passionate romance. However, Libby's mother Patty, who uses a wheelchair, along with bibliophile activists and riot police, threaten to complicate Frank's newfound happiness. Meanwhile, Liam is stuck managing the messy responsibilities of the Gallagher household. Although Nin, Liam's great-grandmother, offers to help, Frank selfishly declines her assistance, leaving Liam frustrated. In her own struggle, Nin takes drastic measures, ultimately teaching Liam an invaluable lesson about navigating life as a Gallagher.
