Episode Overview
Seeking to boost his self-esteem, Ian decides to join a local boxing club, where he quickly bonds with the owner, Jock. However, when the club is threatened with closure due to Jock's debts to Paddy, Ian recruits Maxine, Carl, and Chesney to help raise some money. Soon, he realizes he’s caught in a complicated web of unresolved issues between Jock and Paddy. Meanwhile, Mickey's instinctive bravery leads him to apply for a position with the fire service, but he struggles with self-doubt during the assessment. Feeling like a failure, he ultimately proves his worth during a life-threatening situation. At the Gallaghers', Libby is eager to start a family, much to Frank's dismay. Additionally, Liam faces bullying, and Karen organizes a talent show at The Jockey.
