After being left in the dark about a meeting's rescheduling, Mary starts to question her stability as Dean. Dick fuels her fears, suggesting there might be a plot to oust her. Together, they embark on a mission to uncover the truth, which leads them to sneak into Judith's office at night for evidence, only to get apprehended by the police. Meanwhile, Vicki Dubcek believes that a weekend of riverboat gambling on the Cincinnati Queen will help Sally move on from her breakup with Don. While Harry strikes it rich, Sally finds herself smitten with a Neil Diamond lookalike.
