Episode Overview

Feeling anxious before a surgery, Joel decides to accompany Kinney on a Continuing Medical Education trip to her hometown to regain his composure. While there, they encounter an emergency when a woman becomes trapped under a truck, prompting Joel and Kinney to spearhead the rescue. In a parallel storyline, Charlie interacts with a recently deceased therapist who believes an emotional barrier is preventing him from waking up. Meanwhile, inspired by Charlie's ability to breathe independently, Alex continues her patient rounds and identifies a rare condition in a fitness enthusiast.
