Ozma and Dorothy speak in unison, prompting Dorothy to gleefully shout, "Jinx!" However, the mood shifts as Lion, Scarecrow, and Tin Man grow serious. "Oh no, Dorothy! You can't say that in Oz; it holds real power!" They quickly realize that both Dorothy and Ozma have now lost their voices!
