Blue Thunder (1984)

Episode Overview

A group of KGB mercenaries manages to steal an F-86 Sabre jet from an airfield, leading to a dramatic chase by security that ultimately fails. The next day, FBI agent Bruce Walsh briefs Captain Braddock, Chaney, and the Blue Thunder team on the urgent need to locate the stolen jet, which poses a significant threat if weaponized. Chaney grows frustrated with Walsh's vague information about the hijacking, but Walsh insists that Apex has full cooperation with the FBI. As the operation unfolds, Chaney develops a close bond with Walsh’s assistant, Kate Cunningham. Tragically, she is killed just as she reaches Chaney's home, whispering “K.G.B.” before her death. Fueled by revenge, the team intensifies their search for the Sabre jet.
