YAU mistakenly believes that MRS. YEUNE, PAO SIK YUEK, has betrayed her husband and contemplates her murder. However, upon discovering she has just welcomed a baby named HONG, he spares her life and promises to teach HONG kung-fu in five years. Meanwhile, CHING grows up in Mongolia but proves to be rather slow-witted, causing MRS. KWOK to fear he won't avenge his father's death. After CHIT PIT is pursued by TIT MOK CHUN, CHING intervenes and saves him. Impressed by CHIT's fighting skills, TIT recruits him as his general. CHING learns marksmanship from CHIT and forms a brotherly bond with TIT’s son, TAW LUI. The SEVEN GROTESQUES discover CHING and begin his kung-fu training. They instruct him to meet them on the mountain at night, only to find CHAN YUEN
