Abigail finds herself on the cover of every tabloid, drawing unwanted attention from the press at home. Meanwhile, Sir Iain grows increasingly wary of her, questioning why the King paid her a visit late at night and what they discussed. When Simon learns the identity of the King's lover from Abigail, he shares it with Eleanor, who then leaks it to a Sunday newspaper poised to make a splash with the scoop. To divert attention, the Prime Minister and Sir Iain approach Richard with a scheme: they will announce that Abigail is the King's mistress, thereby keeping his affair with Miranda under wraps. But will Richard have the courage to follow through?
