Feeling envious, Charley drinks too much after Mariette decides to remain on the beach with the local boys instead of joining him on the miniature railway. Pop steps in to help him regain his composure and mend their relationship. Eventually, Mariette changes her mind, takes a ride on the railway, and has a great time. Meanwhile, Angela Snow and her sister Iris, who are vacationing nearby, decide to throw a celebration for the Charltons' first wedding anniversary.
