John's quest is to uncover the finest steak in the world and the ultimate cooking technique. As he travels, he observes how modern industrial farming has altered the iconic pampas and jeopardized a centuries-old way of life. To immerse himself in traditional cattle-raising practices, he joins gauchos at a working estancia, experiencing one of the most genuine barbecues of his life. A stop at a truckers' cafe leads to a revelation about cooking with fire. His journey culminates at a renowned restaurant in Mendoza, where beef is treated as a culinary masterpiece. Here, amidst the restaurant's seven fires, John receives his final insights into the art of cooking steak.
