Episode Overview
Dylan makes his way to the C.U. campus, hoping to connect with Marchette's son but finds himself drawn to Marchette's stunning daughter, Toni, who agrees to go out with him. Brandon notices the chemistry between them and disapproves of Dylan’s pursuit. Meanwhile, he seeks a columnist position at the school newspaper, but editor Susan Keats rejects him and seems to have a strong dislike for him. To make a statement, Brandon writes a controversial column about women, mirroring Susan's piece on men. They head to the After Dark to observe the opposite sex, leading Susan to change her mind and hire him. Steve’s advisor discovers his cheating on a math placement exam from freshman year, forcing him into remedial math and disrupting his easy schedule. Unable to find a tutor, he reluctantly agrees to help from Clare. Kelly feels uneasy upon learning that Colin and Valerie once traveled together in a teen group across Europe.
