Episode Overview
Donna, Kelly, Clare, and Valerie audition for the Tournament of Roses Court. While the other girls are solely interested in getting invites to a ball, Donna chooses to go ahead with the tryouts. This decision doesn’t sit well with Felice, leaving Donna puzzled. Colin decides to skip the party to focus on his mural but later arrives with Valerie. Kelly throws a fit until Colin reassures her that nothing is happening. Brandon and Susan cover the tryouts for the school newspaper and go to the party together. When they return to the newsroom, Susan surprises Brandon with a kiss. Meanwhile, Steve feigns sensitivity while trying to charm a woman online, and Clare asks him to take her to the ball. He abruptly leaves their date to meet his online crush, only to discover it’s Clare! Donna and Ray miss the ball because he has a gig at Jessica's birthday party. Lastly, Toni catches Dylan off guard during a motorcycle ride, and he confides in Brandon about developing feelings for her
