Episode Overview
Valerie is plagued by distressing dreams of her father's suicide. Meanwhile, David discovers that his mother needs shock therapy to enhance her recovery chances, but he is against it, leading him into a deep sadness. Valerie opens up about her father’s death and offers her support, taking David to a cliff with a view of the city to challenge his desire to live. Ultimately, David persuades his mother to proceed with the treatment, and Valerie manages to overcome her nightmares. Toni hosts a dinner party while her father is away, and Bruno catches Dylan investigating Marchette's study, revealing that Marchette knows Dylan is Jack's son. Steve and Clare decide to go to the party together, sharing a sweet kiss at the end of the night, while Brandon successfully asks Susan out.
