Valerie finishes her community service, orchestrating a chance meeting for Brandon with Kelly and Jeff during their date. Meanwhile, a bride-to-be, feeling uncertain about marrying one of Steve's former fraternity brothers, finds solace at the Walsh home. She connects with Brandon over their troubled love lives and ultimately decides to go through with her wedding. Observing their commitment, Steve realizes he needs to move on from Carly, admitting he would have pursued her to Montana if he truly loved her. In a separate incident, Jasper's Law's keyboardist gets into a drunken driving accident and blames Noah for over-serving him. David knows Mark had been using marijuana before the crash but stays silent after Mark threatens his songwriting deal. Eventually, he reveals the truth to their group leader, leading to Mark's dismissal and David taking his place. Donna loses her modeling job after confronting a difficult child but wins it back by donning a clown costume.
