Blake discovers that Steven's lawyer, Chris, has moved in with his son, prompting him to fight for custody of little Danny. Meanwhile, Morgan Hess, Alexis' private investigator, approaches her for a hefty sum to settle a gambling debt. When Alexis declines, Hess leaves with a menacing warning. Kirby comes to terms with the fact that Adam is the father of her baby. Fallon consults Adam's former doctor, Dr. Edwards, who reveals Adam’s volatile nature and his intelligence, recalling how he once won a case by proving a plant worker was poisoned and driven mad. Connecting this to Jeff's condition, Fallon urges the hospital to look into it. In a devious move, Alexis lures Krystle to Steven's cabin, offering her $1 million to walk away from Blake. Furious, Krystle attempts to leave, but finds the door locked from the outside, and smoke begins to seep in from beneath it.
