At the store where he acquired the toxic mercuric oxide, Adam creates a diversion for the salesman and swaps the genuine purchase order with the one Alexis unwittingly signed. Bill Rockwell, the outgoing head of public relations at Denver-Carrington, informs a disheartened Tracy that Krystle has been awarded the position she had hoped to take. Mark proposes to Krystle, but when she declines, he becomes aggressive. Alexis is taken aback to see her signature on the order for the lethal chemical, quickly realizing that Adam has set her up. Blake threatens to go public unless she returns Jeff’s stock and halts the merger.
