Emma comes back to Storybrooke to help reunite Lily with Maleficent, while Regina and Robin grapple with the reality of Zelena's pregnancy. As Gold's condition deteriorates, Isaac seeks out a new partner to obtain the magical ink necessary for altering history. In a flashback to Fairy Tale Land, Cora returns from Wonderland to ask for Regina's forgiveness on the anniversary of Daniel's death. Cora pledges to assist Regina in her quest for true love, but Regina is wary of her mother's true motives.
