Episode Overview
In Oakland, the holiday season is in full swing! Vanessa learns she can't join her family for Christmas due to work commitments. To cheer her up, Robin and Mark invite her to celebrate at their home, embracing “The Russel Family Way” of Christmas. Mark takes on the role of Santa for the school fair that Robin is organizing. However, they discover that Noel, the Guidance Counselor's son, is a non-believer in Santa. Mark manages to convince Noel that Santa will make an appearance that evening, while Vanessa plays Mrs. Claus and Earvin takes on the role of Rudolph. The principal dresses as a snowman, and the students are elves, with Coach Rickets even running a military booth. As “Santa” faces challenges, Noel reveals his wish for his dad to come home for the holidays, but with his father stuck in the Navy, Mark pulls out all the stops—asking Coach Rickets and the kids for help—yet nothing seems to work.
