Episode Overview

Jackie Thompson, a skilled cat burglar, infiltrates a museum to steal priceless artifacts and ends up with a rare gem that possesses mysterious healing abilities. After being shot during his escape, the gem miraculously heals him. Adopting the persona of Brother John, he starts a career as a faith healer, but soon his greed spirals out of control. Meanwhile, an elderly Indian man named Duende appears, insisting that the gem must be returned to its rightful place. As Jackie grapples with his conscience, his partner Harry absconds with the stolen cash, leading Jackie to reopen his old bullet wound and face death once more. In another storyline, a little girl whose parents are constantly arguing takes them to the Children's Zoo using a special invitation, where she experiences something extraordinary that they could never have imagined. Meanwhile, Bob Spindler, a drunk driver, stumbles into the "Kentucky Rye" bar, where the patrons are all victims of drunk driving incidents.
