Judging Amy (1999)
S01E19 The Out-of-Towners
Episode Overview
Responding to her legal team's request, Amy passionately addresses a young drug dealer at his sentencing, highlighting the sacrifices his mother made for him. Meanwhile, much to Peter’s annoyance, Maxine agrees to go out with a charming man she met at the diner. Amy finds herself covering a case in a small town, accompanied by Bruce, where they investigate the misdiagnosis and overmedication of local teenage boys. As Lisa’s abductor's trial begins, she and Vincent clash over her growing fears about a potential acquittal. After a week off, Susie returns to work despite Maxine's protests, setting off a series of events that tragically leads to a young mother’s death. During their trip, Amy and Bruce respond differently to intolerance, while Maxine’s attempt to resign ends in her being coerced into staying on.
