Judging Amy (1999)

Episode Overview

Amy finds herself in the middle of a custody battle involving a young girl's stepfather and her biological father, whose severe Obsessive Compulsive Disorder raises concerns about his parenting capabilities. Meanwhile, Maxine struggles to address her roof's leaks after a failed attempt at day trading leaves her finances in disarray. Complicating matters, Amy has to deal with a difficult court reporter who is also Donna's rival. Maxine discovers systemic fraud at D.C.F. that connects back to Susie, prompting Amy to realize she must take on more financial responsibilities at home after a disagreement with Peter about their mother's situation. Vincent and Lisa also confront their relationship anxieties, while Amy pushes D.C.F. to expedite the process so Croatian refugees can reunite with their son.
