Amy is taken aback while Lauren beams with joy upon hearing the news of Michael and Leisha's upcoming wedding. Noticing Maxine's doubts about their relationship, Jared proposes that they take a break to reflect on their feelings. Meanwhile, Vincent finds himself drawn to a producer after being invited to share his short stories on the radio. Amy faces a tough decision about whether an alcoholic mother, who was responsible for her daughter's death, has made enough progress to regain custody of her son and keep her unborn child. Maxine feels upset when the state's attorney decides not to pursue charges in the Roseland case. Reluctantly, Bruce agrees when Mia suggests that Rebecca should spend more time with her in New York. Lastly, Amy deals with a case involving a divorcing couple squabbling over frequent flyer miles.
