Episode Overview
After receiving encouragement from Maxine and Peter, Amy decides to reach out to Vincent and start repairing their relationship. Meanwhile, Stu Collins, who has just returned to town to work at the prosecutor's office, suffers a life-threatening heart attack following a heated exchange with Amy. She struggles to reach his friends or family for support. Maxine tries to mediate between a couple torn over whether to keep their special needs adopted child, but sadly, she can't prevent a heartbreaking resolution. In court, Amy faces the teenage son of a mobster charged with arson that injured a store employee during a dispute. As he recovers, Stu reveals to Amy that he has secretly been in love with her for years, while Amy and Bruce explore the limits of their relationship.
