Maxine feels downhearted when Jared doesn’t reach out after returning from China, prompting Sean to organize a casino night fundraiser to lift her spirits. Meanwhile, a teenager who has found faith accuses her mother of neglect for being a stripper, leaving Amy to weigh the difficult choice of placing the girl in foster care. Donna confronts Kyle after discovering a syringe and morphine in his drawers, but she feels relieved when he explains that it serves as a reminder of his commitment to sobriety. After learning about an awkward encounter between her daughter and Bruce, David Solomon files a complaint against Andrea, leading her to end her relationship with Bruce to protect her custody rights. When Bruce tries to clarify things with Solomon, a confrontation ensues at the courthouse, resulting in Bruce’s arrest after he punches Solomon.
