Amy takes on the case of two teens accused of driving a classmate to suicide by spreading false rumors about her sexual life on their website. Meanwhile, Maxine faces serious repercussions for her outspoken criticism of the lieutenant governor. Amy decides to back Bruce's Gun 101 initiative. After returning from a weekend getaway, Vincent informs Donna that he and Carole got married in Las Vegas. Carole has since moved to San Francisco for cancer surgery, and Vincent plans to join her soon. Unaware that Vincent hasn't shared this with his family, Donna accidentally reveals it to Amy. Despite her efforts, Amy struggles to mend things with her brother. Maxine advises Vincent to accept his family's love and support during this tough time and urges both siblings to resolve their differences.
