Episode Overview
Amy faces a tough choice about whether to change a custody agreement, potentially allowing a woman to take her daughter to Paris for two years, despite the father's objections. Back at DCF, Maxine takes on the case of a homeless man, dubbed "Bubble Man," who is facing arrest for blowing bubbles in the park without a permit. She also mentors Robert on how to assist an abused boy. Meanwhile, Bruce helps a mother struggling to keep custody of her son, who is failing to meet probation requirements due to her denial about the impact of her son's disability. Maxine successfully mends the rift between Amy and Vincent by suggesting Amy revisit Vincent's contract with the studio interested in his novel. As Carole's health declines unexpectedly, Vincent rushes away in tears, clutching the family's cherished good luck charm, the "surfing monkey."
