Episode Overview

Amy and Michael decide to use a mediator to sort out Lauren's custody situation. Meanwhile, Maxine and Kimberly have a heated disagreement over a child who has gone missing in the system. Jared returns from China seeking answers from Maxine. Lauren becomes convinced their apartment is haunted, and Amy starts to share her concerns. In court, Maxine, acting as the caseworker for a teenage mother, delivers a heartfelt speech that prompts Amy to reflect on her connections with both Maxine and Lauren. Bruce initially rejects Amy's gesture of friendship but later changes his mind with great enthusiasm.
