Judging Amy (1999)

Episode Overview

Lauren tells her family that she's chosen to become a vegetarian. Tensions rise when Amy confronts Reagan, Lauren's punk-haired friend, when she and her brother come to pick Lauren up for school. Meanwhile, Amy is involved in a case concerning a teenage boy accused of assaulting his mother and imprisoning her in the basement. The boy reveals that his mother had killed his pit bull and often left him alone as a child. Maxine looks into a child abuse claim regarding an autistic boy who has been crying for his mom's boyfriend. Peter worries about Gillian's actions during their time apart, but they ultimately agree to set aside the matter and reconcile.
