Episode Overview
Maxine and Patricia share their thoughts on dating, and Patricia finds herself smitten with Ignacio after an unexpected encounter at a restaurant. Although Maxine claims they are just friends, her actions tell a different story. Meanwhile, Maxine delves into an investigation involving a college professor accused of domestic abuse. She uncovers that he had a history of mistreating his first wife. When she reveals this to his current spouse, she finally admits to enduring the same treatment and has him arrested. In a separate case, Amy presides over the trial of a teenage boy charged with assaulting a police officer. It comes to light that he was actually a victim of a corrupt “Raid and Run” tactic by the police. Lauren faces suspension from school for vandalizing meat trays with her friends. Amy discovers that they belong to a group called "straight edge." The episode culminates in a tense confrontation between Amy and Lauren regarding her recent choices.
