Judging Amy (1999)
S06E21 Getting Out
Episode Overview
In a dream, Amy envisions Bruce making breakfast for her and Maxine, followed by a joyful dance in the kitchen. Later, Amy learns about potential new evidence that could secure Graciella a retrial, but tragedy strikes when Graciella is murdered in prison before anything can be done. Meanwhile, Sean and Maxine take drastic steps to assist a foster family on the brink of losing their home due to unpaid mortgage bills. In the classroom, one of Vincent's students attempts to stab him with a pencil. Amy handles a case involving a 10-year-old boy with a violent past, who claims Bruce challenged him to a fight. She warns Bruce repeatedly to stop staring at the boy, leading to a heated argument in chambers during recess. Bruce ultimately decides to resign, and by the episode's end, Amy reveals she is also leaving her position.
