Amy bids farewell to Graciela, marking a poignant moment. Meanwhile, Maxine realizes she misjudged her relationship with Ignacio and attempts to reconnect, but he pushes her away, unwilling to be toyed with by her indecisiveness. Bruce remains absent on Amy's last day in the courtroom. Holbrook works to highlight a bill in Congress that threatens the juvenile justice system. Donna is shocked when Amy declines to support the cause and brings along several kids whose lives Amy has impacted, hoping to change her mind. Feeling frustrated by her role as a judge, Amy encounters Marty Levine, who urges her to deliver a speech in Washington and consider a Senate run. After discussing it with Lauren, who initially hesitates, she ultimately backs her mother against Maxine's criticism. Later that evening, Maxine races to rescue a young girl from being exploited by her mother.
