Episode Overview
After a long day at work in St. Louis, Grace returns home late to find her children awake, the house in chaos, Jean napping on the couch, and Libby busy cleaning the kitchen. The following day, Grace receives an unexpected job assignment, forcing Libby to cancel their bookstore outing. Later, they visit a construction site where a bridge is underway, intrigued by the massive machinery. They encounter D.C., the owner of the construction company, whom Jean initially mistakes for a threat. D.C. saves Patrick when he gets caught in equipment, teasing Grace about her absence due to work. As Grace prepares to leave for St. Louis again, she struggles with the decision, ultimately choosing to quit her job and cook breakfast for her family the next morning.
