Grace Under Fire (1993)

Episode Overview

Libby is eager to join her class trip to Washington, but Grace struggles to fund it. After a tornado devastates Victory, an armored car from the casino is hit, scattering cash throughout the town. Quentin discovers a bag containing two hundred thousand dollars near their home. While the family debates how to use the windfall, Grace insists on returning the money. During a press conference to commend the Kellys, they realize twenty thousand dollars is missing. Grace is interrogated, suspecting Jimmy took it, while Wade insinuates she might have. Ultimately, Grace finds the cash in the cookie jar, with Jean admitting she took it to aid the church's repairs. Grace returns the remaining money but cleverly lets a reporter know the casino has offered to assist.
