Episode Overview

A reporter investigating the mayoral race is found electrocuted in his hotel room, and soon after, his girlfriend turns up dead. As the case unfolds, it seems a candidate might be linked to a scandal of a sexual nature. Nick must navigate the murky waters of this grim situation to uncover the truth without resorting to a witch hunt. Amidst the dirty politics and slander, Nick reflects on his past as Professor Nicholas Girard in Chicago, 1954, when he faced the HUAC, accused of being a Communist.
