Episode Overview
Dawson is enjoying a fresh start with his new girlfriend, art historian Lauren Gale, but his life takes a dark turn when he arrives at her home one night to find her murdered. The culprit is revealed to be Armand Thorne, the benefactor of the Thorne Museum of Antiquities, who was under investigation by Lauren. Meanwhile, MacLeod discovers an ancient gold cross on display at the museum—one that was stolen from him nearly two centuries ago. He learns that Thorne is actually John Durgan, the Immortal trapper responsible for the theft and murder of a frontier priest. To confront Thorne, MacLeod persuades Amanda to come out of retirement and help him steal the cross, drawing Thorne out of his heavily guarded stronghold. In their final encounter, MacLeod defeats Thorne, reclaiming the Cross of St. Antoine as promised.
