Episode Overview
In a small Balkan country, citizens are rising up against a tyrannical ruler. Leading the charge is Paul Karros, a passionate and dynamic figure. An Immortal, Karros once endured slavery under Roman rule and fought for freedom alongside Spartacus. Since that time, he has consistently stood with the oppressed. Alongside his aide, Mara, Karros travels to the U.S. to rally support for their movement. Having previously fought alongside Karros during the Mexican Revolution, MacLeod is approached to join the fight but declines. However, Charlie is drawn to both the cause and Mara. When Father Stefan, a key contact, is gravely injured in an assassination attempt, MacLeod realizes Karros is willing to jeopardize peace efforts, even resorting to violence against those who trust him. Upon learning this, Mara threatens to reveal the truth.
