Episode Overview

Phelps finds himself in a race against time to prevent Charles Peck from resorting to violence, orchestrated by the manipulative Billy Walsh, to boost his puppet, Mayor Steven Tallman, into the governor's mansion. Meanwhile, Dana, a provocateur in her own right, gets arrested by Barney, the current governor's aide. Walsh intervenes to secure her release, while Paris, acting as a blackmailer, convinces Tallman that Dana is his long-lost illegitimate daughter. Worried that Tallman—actually Paris in disguise—might reveal their scheme to protect his "daughter," Peck orders Walsh to eliminate Barney and Dana. However, Barney intervenes on live TV, thwarting Walsh’s plan to detonate a bomb amid demonstrators and police, leading Paris-as-Tallman to confess to Peck's involvement.
