Mission: Impossible (1966)
Overview
Created by Bruce Geller, this iconic American series follows the thrilling escapades of the Impossible Missions Force, a covert team of government agents. Initially led by Dan Briggs, portrayed by Steven Hill, the team transitions to Jim Phelps, played by Peter Graves, for subsequent seasons. A signature moment includes Phelps or Briggs receiving mission briefings on a self-destructing tape, accompanied by Lalo Schifrin's unforgettable theme music. Airing on CBS from 1966 to 1973, it briefly returned on ABC from 1988 to 1990, continuing with Graves. Its legacy includes a successful film franchise featuring Tom Cruise, starting in 1996.
