Mission: Impossible (1966)

Episode Overview

Kroll and Stevens head the Northeast Syndicate, and the IMF is determined to take them down. Back in '37, the duo murdered a rival mobster, concealed the body, and eliminated any witnesses. To uncover the truth, the IMF must manipulate Kroll into revealing the burial site. They abduct him, sedate him, and transform his appearance to match his look from '37. Then, they drop him on a Hollywood set, convincing him he’s back in 1937 on the day of the crime and that his entire life since has been a dream. Overwhelmed by the intricate setup, Kroll and “Stevens” reenact the murder in a cafe, inadvertently revealing the location to Barney and Willy, who then search the actual cafe’s basement for the remains. As the IMF disappears into the shadows, an aging Kroll confronts his partner, escaping the 1937 New York set only to stumble into a nearby Old West street.
