Mission: Impossible (1966)

Episode Overview

Undercover agent Hays, tasked with gathering incriminating evidence against Syndicate leader John Lawton, is left blind after an explosion. Lawton’s lieutenant, Deetrich, and his business consultant, Matula, vie for power, with Matula being an IMF mole. The IMF's goal is to prevent his cover from being blown and to ensure he replaces Lawton. Suspecting Hays of collusion, Lawton has his enforcer, Brown, keep an eye on Jim, who steps in for Hays after undergoing surgery to blind him. As tensions rise, Deetrich tries to manipulate Jim into framing Matula. In the climax, Matula reveals a tape of Deetrich and Jim plotting against Lawton. A shootout ensues, resulting in Deetrich and Brown's deaths, while Lawton and Matula escape, leaving Barney, disguised as a mobster, to handle Jim.
